Oakbridge
A boutique real estate advisory built to give individuals, families and businesses from Asia a clear route into European property. The brand had to read as trustworthy to two audiences on two continents at once, in a category where “trust me” is the entire product.
The mark solves it by borrowing an object both audiences already recognise as a symbol of prosperity: the Zhengde coin, cast in Ming-dynasty China with a circular outer edge around a square centre. Firedrake kept those two defining details the circle, the square — and drew a contemporary mark from them rather than a literal coin. It reads as currency and as a crossing point simultaneously, without needing a strapline to explain either.
The restraint is the strategy. A firm asking people to move capital across borders doesn’t need a clever brand; it needs a credible one, and a five-hundred-year-old symbol of prosperity does more of that work than an invented device ever could.
