Layah
A luxury travel company built on personally designed, culturally deep journeys where the founder is the product, and the brand has to carry that without becoming a personal website.
The name solves it. Layah takes Laya, the remote village in northern Bhutan, and closes it with ah Alexandra Hepworth’s initials. The founder is inside the word, present to anyone who knows and invisible to anyone who doesn’t. That’s a naming solution and a positioning statement in the same six letters.
The symbol is a hummingbird: agility, precision, and the ability to hold still in mid-air, which is a fair description of what a good travel designer does. Drawn fine and small, it works as a mark on a boarding wallet rather than a logo on a billboard.
The palette is assembled from the destinations themselves rather than from luxury convention — no navy and gold, which is where nearly every travel brand lands and where none of them are distinguishable.
